https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3448

The nursing profession is inherently demanding, characterized by irregular working hours, high workload, and substantial responsibility, all of which can significantly impact nurses’ ability to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Female nurses working in emergency rooms face unique challenges due to the high-pressure nature of the work environment and their dual roles as healthcare providers and mothers. This study aims to explore the lived experiences of female ER nurses in managing and balancing their professional and personal responsibilities using a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through in-depth, semi-structured interviews with three nurses who have children under the age of 10, selected via purposive sampling. Thematic analysis revealed that the primary challenges include unpredictable work schedules, heavy workload, and emotional strain, which often result in fatigue and reduced quality time with family. Nevertheless, participants employed various coping strategies such as task prioritization, seeking social support, and implementing self-management techniques to effectively navigate these challenges. The findings underscore the importance of flexible work arrangements and supportive organizational environments in enhancing nurses’ work-life balance, thereby improving their overall well-being and professional performance.
Naia Prita LaoraSuryaniDedy Suprayogi

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3451

Loneliness among the elderly is a common psychological issue, particularly among those who live alone. This phenomenon is important to study because loneliness can have a negative impact on mental health, reduce quality of life, and increase the risk of depression in the elderly. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to explore the subjective experiences of the elderly in interpreting loneliness. The participants consisted of three elderly people over the age of 60 who lived alone in Sidoarjo. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews. The results of the study show that elderly people with introverted personalities tend to be more prone to loneliness, while those who are more outgoing are better able to cope with loneliness. Social support from the community plays an important role in reducing loneliness, while the loss of a partner is a major factor in the emergence of feelings of emptiness among elderly people who live alone.
Ignacia Nabila DjorsyDedy SuprayogiSuryani

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3457

This study aims to develop a student engagement scale by testing the validity and reliability of the measuring instrument so that it can measure the level of student engagement. Student engagement is a factor that determines student success in academic terms, including behavioral, cognitive, and emotional involvement. The research method used is quantitative research. Data collection using convenience sampling obtained 315 students at SMK Pawiyatan Surabaya. Data analysis used validity and reliability tests, including confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The results showed a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.888, consisting of 34 items. In addition, CFA analysis using a GFI value of 0.960 and an RMSEA of 0.072 showed that the student engagement scale had high validity. However, the CFI value of 0.716 indicates that the student engagement measurement tool is not sufficiently reliable, requiring improvement so that the student engagement scale can be used optimally.
Hanun Adinayya NajwaSyafruddin Faisal Thohar

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3461

The purpose of this study is to describe subjective well-being in older adults without children using a phenomenological qualitative approach. The study participants consisted of two women aged 68 and 71 years who were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic methods. The results showed that subjective well-being in elderly people without children was reflected in six cognitive themes, namely life satisfaction, spirituality, social relationships, productive activities, physical and mental health, and material sufficiency, as well as two affective themes, namely positive affect and negative affect. The elderly define happiness through harmonious relationships with their spouses, fostering children, spiritual activities, and involvement in social and productive activities. Positive affect, such as gratitude and happiness, is more dominant than negative affect, such as anxiety and loneliness, which are managed through social support and meaningful activities. These findings emphasize the importance of social support, spirituality, and meaningful activities in improving the quality of life of older adults without children.
Hana Rifda AfifahMuhammad Syifaul Muntafi

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3467

This study aimed to examine the effect of media exposure and gender on positive mood among early adolescents. A true experimental design with a 2x2 factorial model was employed, involving two independent variables: type of media exposure (visual and audio) and gender (male and female). Participants were early adolescents aged 10–19 years, randomly assigned to ensure balanced distribution across groups. The Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), focusing only on the positive dimension, was administered as a pre-test and post-test to measure changes in positive mood. Data were analyzed using two-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results revealed no significant main effects of media exposure type or gender on positive mood, nor a significant interaction effect between the two variables. These findings suggest that positive mood among early adolescents is not influenced by media type or gender, but may be shaped by other factors such as initial emotional state, individual media preferences, or social context.

Tegar Bagus SamudraMoch. https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3468

Terror acts and intimidating behavior by debt collectors cause debtors to feel fearful, anxious, and threatened, leading to mental health issues that can lead to death anxiety. The purpose of this study is to examine and determine how the effects of online lending can trigger death anxiety, as assessed using Irvin Yalom's perspective. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological approach to describe the problems and important elements of the information obtained from the two respondents. Based on the analysis conducted according to Yalom's theory, the fear of death can actually trigger change. Death anxiety in both respondents encouraged them to seek life goals, accept responsibility, and reorganize their lives in a healthier way. The problems faced by both respondents in this study involved coping strategies consisting of nine dimensions, including seeking information support, confronting, planned problem solving, seeking social support, maintaining emotional distance, escape, avoidance, self-control, and accepting responsibility, positive reappraisal. The threats felt by the respondents caused anxiety and excessive fear about their situation and the uncertainty of life in the future. This condition became one of the drivers for the formation of problem-solving strategies, where both respondents tried to find a way out so that the online loan issues could be resolved properly, allowing them to avoid being pursued by debt collectors.

Ayu Marcelia Rahma DewiHamim RosyidiIrul Hidayati

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3469

Self-regulation is an individual's ability to plan, control, and reflect on thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in order to achieve desired goals. College students who marry while still studying face unique challenges in the form of dual roles: student and spouse. This situation demands strong self-regulation skills to maintain balance between the two. This study aims to explore the dynamics of self-regulation in married seventh-semester college students. This study used a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods to explore the participants' subjective experiences. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and direct observation of two married seventh-semester female college students. Analysis was conducted thematically, emphasizing the interpretation of the meaning of the participants' experiences. The results showed that both participants were able to apply self-regulation through time management aligned with their daily schedules, active communication with their partners, and setting academic and family priorities. Motivation to study was driven by personal responsibility, promises to family, and emotional support from their partners. Despite facing the pressures of dual roles, both participants demonstrated different adaptation strategies, both structured and flexible, to maintain academic and family balance. This study confirms that self-regulation, social support, and personal discipline are important factors for the academic success of married college students.
Self-acceptance is an important aspect for paranoid schizophrenic patients because it affects their ability to adapt

and their quality of life. This study aims to describe the process of self-acceptance in paranoid schizophrenic patients. A qualitative design was used with semi-structured interviews of patients diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia who were undergoing treatment at a mental hospital in East Java. The results showed that the subjects experienced five stages of self-acceptance, including aversion, curiosity, tolerance, allowing, and friendship. The subjects also experienced emotional dynamics: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. The implications of this study on the self-acceptance process of paranoid schizophrenia patients, through interrelated cognitive and emotional stages, are not always linear and require time and environmental support. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of psychological interventions to support the self-acceptance process in patients with similar disorders.
Siavina Meiliana PutriEndang WahyuniEko Teguh Pribadi

Fish was a valuable source of animal protein, rich in essential nutrients, and had great potential as a complementary food product. However, limited innovation in modified fish-based products contributed to the low acceptance of fish among children. This study was conducted to evaluate the nutritional content and organoleptic properties of tilapia (Oreochromis mossambicus) roulade as a locally based complementary food product. The nutritional composition of the tilapia roulade was analyzed using the Indonesian Food Composition Table (DKBM). Organoleptic evaluation was performed by panelists through a hedonic test, which assessed parameters including color, aroma, taste, texture, appearance, and overall acceptability. The analysis showed that each serving of tilapia roulade contained 162.7 kcal of energy, 9.96 g of carbohydrates, 15.1 g of protein, and 6.52 g of fat, along with a complete profile of vitamins. Results from the organoleptic test indicated a high level of acceptance across all sensory attributes. https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3485

Gastritis is an inflammation of the stomach lining often triggered by unhealthy eating habits or irregular eating patterns. This study aims to analyze the relationship between eating habits (meal frequency, portion sizes, and types of food) and the incidence of gastritis among female students at Al-Barokah Sruni Islamic Boarding School. Poor eating habits, such as irregular meals, consuming overly spicy, fatty foods, or foods containing high caffeine, are known to cause digestive issues, including gastritis. This study uses an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consists of 55 female students selected using simple random sampling from a population of 65 students. Data were collected from September to October 2024 and analyzed using the Phi coefficient test. The results indicate a significant relationship between meal frequency (ρ-value = 0.001), portion sizes (ρ-value = 0.002), and types of food (ρ-value = 0.004) with the occurrence of gastritis, with each relationship categorized as moderate. Of the total of 55 female students, 24 (43.64%) had gastritis, while 31 (56.36%) did not have gastritis. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that poor eating habits increase the risk of gastritis among the students. It is recommended that the pesantren provide education on healthy eating habits and stress management to prevent the occurrence of gastritis among the students.
Ines Puspita SariEsti TyastirinIrul Hidayati

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3493

Adolescence is a transitional period characterized by accelerated physical growth and psychosocial changes, resulting in increased nutritional needs. Although the majority of adolescents have normal nutritional status, the prevalence of overnutrition is still quite high. One factor that can be related to nutritional status is nutritional knowledge and physical activity. This study aims to determine the relationship between nutritional knowledge and physical activity with nutritional status in ninth-grade adolescents at SMP Negeri 2 Jogorogo, Ngawi Regency. This study used a quantitative method with a correlational analytical approach and a cross-sectional design. The study population was all 30 ninth-grade students selected using a total sampling technique. The independent variables were nutritional knowledge and physical activity, while the dependent variable was nutritional status measured using the Body Mass Index for Age (BMI/U). Data were obtained through questionnaires and anthropometric measurements, then analyzed using the Chi-Square test and ordinal logistic regression with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the majority of respondents had good nutritional knowledge (80%), heavy physical activity (53.3%), and normal nutritional status (76.6%). However, the ordinal regression test results obtained a significance value of 0.612 (p > 0.05) and a McFadden's Pseudo R² of 0.026. This indicates that nutrition knowledge and physical activity are not significantly related to adolescent nutritional status, with an explanatory contribution of only 2.6%. Nutrition interventions for adolescents need to be implemented comprehensively, taking these various factors into account.
Najwa Laska HalqiEsti Novi AndyariniSarita Oktorina

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3473

Staying up late has become a common phenomenon among college students. As many as 40% of adolescents in Indonesia do not sleep 8 hours or more every night. The causes of this habit are diverse, one of which is academic demands in the form of assignments or entertainment games. This habit affects the decline in adolescent health, especially food consumption patterns and nutritional status. This study was conducted to analyze the direct and indirect effects of staying up late on food consumption patterns and nutritional status. This study used a cross-sectional design with a sample of 33 students selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires to assess the habit of staying up late and food consumption patterns, while nutritional status was determined through anthropometric measurements based on Body Mass Index (BMI). Data analysis was performed using path analysis. The results showed that staying up late had no significant effect on dietary patterns (p = 0.705), but had a very significant effect on nutritional status (p = 0.000) with a contribution of 39.1%. Meanwhile, dietary patterns did not significantly affect nutritional status (p = 0.752). Thus, it can be concluded that night owl habits are directly related to the nutritional status of students, while dietary patterns do not act as mediators in this relationship.

Septiana SafitriSarita OktorinaEsti Novi Andyarini

Breakfast was very important as the main source of nutrients needed for the brain to function properly. Adolescents who frequently skipped breakfast were less selective in choosing their food at lunch due to excessive hunger, leading to overeating in the afternoon or evening. This risked them consuming calories exceeding their daily needs, which in the long term could have a negative impact on their health, such as weight gain and the risk of obesity. This research was an analytical observational study using a cross-sectional design. The research was conducted at Islamic Boarding School from October to November 2024. Sampling was done using Simple Random Sampling technique on 44 respondents from a total population of 54. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to respondents who met the predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The obtained data was analyzed using the Spearman correlation test with a significance level of 5% (p<0.05). The results showed that there was a relationship between breakfast habits and nutritional status among the female students at Islamic Boarding School, with p=0.035 < 0.05. The conclusion of this study was that low, moderate, and high breakfast habits could influence nutritional status. This is because with breakfast, the energy intake entering the body is met, neither too much nor too little.
Nurul AuliaMei lina Fitri KumalasariWidya Nilandita

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3481

Stunting among children in coastal fishing communities remains a critical public health issue, with prevalence rates often exceeding national averages. This literature review synthesizes findings from 50 peer-reviewed studies focusing on nutritional status, food security, sanitation, and socio-cultural factors contributing to stunting among fisher families. Despite abundant marine resources, children in fishing communities continue to face high risks of undernutrition due to limited economic access to diverse and nutritious food, poor maternal education, inadequate sanitation, and deeply rooted cultural feeding practices. The review highlights that household food insecurity, low dietary diversity, and misconceptions about protein-rich foods (e.g., fish and eggs) significantly affect child growth outcomes. Environmental conditions, such as a lack of clean water and poor waste management, exacerbate infection risks, further impairing nutrition. Effective interventions require a multisectoral approach that integrates community-based nutrition education, promotion of local marine foods, improvement of sanitation infrastructure, and economic empowerment of fisher households. Culturally adapted strategies that involve both mothers and fathers have shown promise in improving child nutrition outcomes. Addressing stunting in coastal communities demands not only technical solutions but also attention to social justice, cultural context, and sustainable livelihoods.
Zuardin

Milk contains various bioactive components that required to maintain normal human physiological activities. Both animal and plant-based milks have benefits that can be used to minimize the risk of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs). This review aims to compare the nutritional profiles of animal and plant-based milks and highlight their involvement in reducing the risk of NCDs. A literature review used papers from 2014 to 202, with PubMed and ScienceDirect as key databases. The study found that soy milk includes aglycone isoflavones, which have been demonstrated to inhibit inflammatory pathways in human intestinal cells. On the other hand, animal milk is high in proteins, bioactive peptides, and milk fat globule membrane (MFGM) components, all of which help with brain function, immunological health, and metabolic balance. It is concluded that appropriate animal and plant-based milk consumption may help avoid degenerative diseases and promote overall health by controlling inflammation, increasing antioxidant capacity, and improving energy metabolism. When deciding between animal and plant-based milks, evaluating their nutritional profiles and bioactive components is best to maximise possible health advantages.
Romyun Alvy KhoiriyahAnggun Dita Al FakhriFarradyah Wulandari WiyatnoNeni Sri WahyuniLaili Rahmawati

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3458

Cardiovascular disease continues to be a global public health challenge with multiple complex risk factors. The combination of high-fat diet and smoking habits has a synergistic effect that increases the risk of cardiovascular disease. This study aimed to determine the relationship between a high-fat diet and smoking habits and cardiovascular disease, and to emphasize the importance of dual interventions targeting dietary changes and smoking cessation as the primary strategy to reduce the burden of coronary heart disease and stroke. This study used a literature review method. The results of this study indicate that smoking and excessive fat consumption are two major risk factors contributing to the increasing incidence of cardiovascular disease (CVD). Smoking has been shown to accelerate the process of atherosclerosis by increasing blood pressure, vascular inflammation, and decreasing HDL cholesterol levels. Consuming saturated fat makes this condition worse by raising levels of easily oxidized LDL cholesterol and lowering levels of HDL cholesterol, which speeds up the accumulation of plaque in blood vessels. Nutritional interventions like lowering saturated fat and raising MUFA intake through a nutritious diet, like the Mediterranean diet, can lower this risk. This all-encompassing approach is anticipated to dramatically lower the incidence of coronary heart disease in at-risk groups when paired with smoking cessation initiatives.
Zendy Indah PermatasariMuhammad Chabibur RohmanVirina Dwi SabillaLaili RahmawatiRomyun Alvy Khoiriyah

Oxidative stress is the main causative factor of various degenerative diseases, and the search for natural antioxidant sources becomes important to overcome this problem. This study aims to identify the activity of antioxidant compounds from ethanol extract of pearl grass (Oldenlandia corymbosa) leaves in neutralizing free radicals. The methods used include leaf extraction with 70% ethanol and antioxidant activity testing using UV-Vis spectroscopy at a wavelength of 517 nm. Results showed that the extract with a concentration of 80 ppm produced a maximum inhibition of 51.60%, indicating significant antioxidant potential. Qualitative phytochemical tests identified the presence of phenolic compounds and flavonoids, which act as electron donors in the free radical penetration process. The IC50 value of the ethanol extract obtained was 46 µg/mL, indicating the effectiveness of the extract in inhibiting free radicals. These findings support the potential of pearl grass as a source of natural antioxidants that can be further developed for the prevention and therapy of oxidative stress-related degenerative diseases.
Nurul Faiza Salma NabilaRisa Purnamasari Eva Agustina Nova Lusiana Irul HidayatiFunsu Andiara

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3464

Immunomodulators are substances that can help improve immune system function. Immunomodulators are clinically used for the treatment of immune disorders, such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, malnutrition, allergies and others. The use of synthetic drugs is effective in restoring immune system imbalances, but is at risk of causing side effects, so the search for safer natural alternatives is important. Cassava leaves (Manihot esculenta) and pearl grass (Hedyotis corymbosa) are plants rich in bioactive compounds, such as flavonoids, saponins, and triterpenoids, which have potential as immunomodulators. The mechanism of immunomodulation is thought to be through suppression of proinflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6, IL 1β, IL-17) and an increase in anti-inflammatory cytokines (IL-4, IL-10), while the effect on IL-2 is variable and IFN-γ tends to be lowered, thus supporting the achievement of a balanced immune response. This study aims to analyze the functional groups in Manihot esculenta and Hedyotis corymbosa extracts using Fourier
Transform Infrared (FTIR) as a potential immunomodulator. The extracts were obtained through maceration method with 96% ethanol. The analysis showed that both extracts have main functional groups OH (alcohol/phenol), C=O (carbonyl), and CH (alkane) that support immunomodulatory activity. Hedyotis corymbosa extract showed a higher concentration of bioactive compounds, which could potentially provide a stronger immunomodulatory effect compared to Hedyotis corymbosa extract.
Tafdila Faza Rusyda Ellya Putri Hildania Nova Lusiana Eva Agustina Risa Purnamasari Irul Hidayati Funsu Andiarna

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3486

Kidney failure is a non-communicable disease that can be life-threatening. One plant that is often used as herbal medicine is noni leaf and pearl grass because they contain bioactive compounds. The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in functional groups found in noni leaf and pearl grass extracts as antioxidants against kidney cell damage caused by kidney failure. Leaf extraction was performed using the maceration method with 70% ethanol as the solvent. Phytochemical testing was conducted qualitatively and also involved a literature review to determine the effects of bioactive compounds. The results of the pearl grass extract test showed strong peaks at wavelengths of approximately 3291 cm⁻¹ (O–H group), 1637 cm⁻¹ (aromatic C=C group), and 1034 cm⁻¹ (C–O alcohol group), indicating the presence of phenolic and flavonoid compounds. The FTIR spectrum results on noni leaves showed peaks at 3278 cm⁻¹ (O–H/N–H), 1630 cm⁻¹ (C=O/aromatic C=C), and 1052 cm⁻¹ (C–O), indicating the presence of carboxylic acid compounds, amines, and phenolic components. The functional groups of these compounds have significant potential to repair kidney cell damage caused by kidney failure. Based on the FTIR analysis results and supporting literature, it can be concluded that noni leaves are more effective than pearl grass in reducing kidney cell damage caused by kidney failure.
Anggik Eka NurmansyahSafira Cahya PuspitaIrul Hidayati Eva AgustinaNova LusianaRisa Purnamasari Funsu Andiarna

Noni (Morinda citrifolia) and papaya (Carica papaya) are plants that are abundant in Indonesia and have traditionally been used as medicine. This study aims to analyze the differences in functional groups of noni and papaya leaf extracts as antibacterial agents. The extracts were obtained through maceration using 96% ethanol as the solvent. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) was used in this study to identify the functional groups of bioactive compounds in each extract. The FTIR spectrum of noni leaves showed the presence of alkaloid functional groups due to the characteristic absorption of the -NH functional group of alkaloids at a wavelength of 3335.96736 cm-1, while papaya leaves showed the presence of saponin functional groups due to the characteristic absorption of the -OH functional group of saponins at 3337.83103 cm-1. Both compounds exhibit broad biological activity, including as antibacterial agents. Alkaloids from noni leaves have been proven effective against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria (causing acne), while saponins from papaya leaves are effective against Escherichia coli (the cause of diarrhea). Extracts from noni and papaya leaves show significant potential as natural antibacterial agents, supported by the identification of alkaloid and saponin functional groups through FTIR analysis.
R. https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3488

Leukemia is a blood cancer characterized by overgrowth of abnormal white blood cells due to disruption of the apoptosis process, which is cell death that controls the number of cells in the body. This malignancy causes the accumulation of cancer cells that damage normal tissues and disrupt the immune system. One of the plants that can stimulate apoptosis and inhibit the development of blood cancer cells is noni leaves. Noni (Morinda citrifolia) leaves are known to contain antioxidant compounds such as flavonoids, phenols, and saponins that play a role in neutralizing DNA damage and supporting apoptosis mechanisms. This study aims to identify the phytochemical content of noni leaf extract and review its potential activity in increasing leukemia cell apoptosis. The extraction process was carried out by maceration method using ethanol solvent, then the extraction results were tested phytochemically to determine the content of active compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and phenolics. The results of the phytochemical test showed that noni leaf extract was positive for flavonoids, saponins, and phenolics which are known to have antioxidant, cytotoxic, and apoptosis induction activities.
Diana Rahma WatiRobi’ahRisa Purnamasari Eva AgustinaNova Lusiana Irul HidayatiFunsu Andiarna

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3489

Hyperglycemia is a medical condition in which blood glucose levels exceed normal limits, and is a characteristic feature of diabetes mellitus (DM). This disease is characterized by high blood sugar levels due to impaired insulin production. This study aims to determine the effect of secondary metabolites contained in papaya leaf extract, noni leaf extract, cassava leaf extract, and pearl grass extract as antihyperglycemic agents. The research method used maceration with 70% ethanol solvent to obtain a thick extract, followed by phytochemical testing. This method also used a literature review to determine the effect of bioactive compounds in cassava leaf extract (Manihot esculenta), noni leaf extract (Morinda citrifolia), papaya leaf extract (Carica papaya), and pearl grass extract (Hedyotis corymbosa) as natural hyperglycemia agents. The results showed that the four extracts contained various secondary metabolites, namely flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, phenolics, saponins, steroids, and triterpenoids. Papaya leaves had the best extract with complete secondary metabolites to overcome hyperglycemia. Although the three extracts, namely cassava, noni, and pearl grass, did not have complete secondary metabolite content like papaya, they contained flavonoids, phenolics, saponins, and alkaloids to treat hyperglycemia. Thus, these local plants have the potential to be developed as sources of raw materials for natural hyperglycemia phytopharmaceuticals.
Intan Edo Setiowati Nafisah Nahla Aulia Putri Eva AgustinaRisa PurnamasariNova LusianaIrul Hidayat

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus transmitted by Aedes aegypti, often leading to thrombocytopenia. Herbal-based traditional therapies, such as papaya leaves (Carica papaya L.) and cassava leaves (Manihot esculenta Crantz), are considered potential supportive treatments. This study aims to compare the bioactive compounds of both plants through phytochemical screening and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) analysis. The phytochemical results revealed that papaya leaves contain alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolics, tannins, saponins, steroids, and triterpenoids, while cassava leaves contain alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolics, tannins, and triterpenoids. FTIR analysis identified functional groups O–H, C=O, aromatic C=C, C–H, and C–O, indicating the presence of flavonoids, polyphenols, and glycosides. Pharmacologically, papaya leaf extract demonstrated greater potential as it has been clinically proven to increase platelet count through hematopoiesis stimulation and gene regulation. In contrast, cassava leaf extract exhibited antioxidant and hematopoietic potential but with limited clinical evidence. Therefore, papaya leaves are considered more effective as a traditional supportive therapy to aid
platelet recovery in DHF patients.
Sistani HuzainiyahElsa DefitriFunsu AndiarnaEva AgustinaRisa Purnamasari Nova LusianaFunsu AndirnaIrul Hidayat

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3496

The development of digital technology has changed the pattern of access to health information, especially among students who live as digital natives. This situation requires Digital Health Literacy (DHL) so that students are able to sort through information, avoid exposure to hoaxes, and adapt a healthy lifestyle. This study aims to examine the role of DHL in three main dimensions such as strengthening students' critical abilities to evaluate health information, the role of DHL to reduce the spread of hoaxes through education-based literacy practices, and its contribution to encourage the implementation of healthy lifestyles. The study is based on a literature study method, drawing on scientific sources from 2019 to 2025 that were relevant to the research theme. The findings suggest that students with high DHL levels tend to stick consistently to healthy habits, more selective before sharing health-related content, and demonstrate sharper to think critically, thereby contributing to both academic quality and health. In short, DHL is not only a technical skill, but also intellectual and social capital that shapes the digital health ecosystem on campus. Future studies are recommended to included empirical research across diverse socio-cultural contexts to deepen the understanding of DHL’s role.
Libi BewijsshodaaEsti Novi Andyarini

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3497

Hypercholesterolemia is one of the major risk factors for cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease. The main commonly used therapy is synthetic drugs such as statins, but long-term consumption is known to cause side effects such as liver damage, muscle disorders, and metabolic disorders. Therefore, the search for safer natural alternatives is important. Mangosteen rind (Garcinia mangostana L.) and lime peel (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle) are known to contain bioactive compounds such as xanthones, flavonoids, and phenolic acids that have potential as anticholesterol agents. This study aims to identify the functional groups of bioactive compounds in mangosteen and lime peel extracts using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and compare their potential as anticholesterol candidates. The extracts were obtained through maceration method using 70% and 96% ethanol solvents. FTIR analysis showed the presence of O-H (phenol), C=O (carbonyl), and C-O (ester) functional groups, indicating the presence of active compounds such as α-mangostin in mangosteen peel and flavonoids such as quercetin in lime peel. The peak absorption intensity of O-H and C=O groups in mangosteen peel extract is higher than that in lime peel extract. These results indicate that mangosteen peel extract contains a higher concentration of bioactive compounds, so it has the potential to provide an anticholesterol effect.
Ananda Nur FaizahSagita Aulia PutriIrul HidayatEva AgustinaNova LusianaRisa PurnamasariFunsu Andiarna

This study aims to examine the effect of working mothers’ workload on family healthy lifestyle, with time availability as a mediating variable, particularly in relation to food quality. A quantitative approach was used, employing multiple regression analysis with SPSS. The sample consisted of 250 working mothers who met the following criteria: working at least 30 hours per week, having a spouse and/or child living in the same household. The results revealed that workload had a significant negative effect on time availability (β = -0.268; p = 0.000), and time availability had a significant positive effect on food quality (β = 0.575; p = 0.000). However, the direct effect of workload on food quality was not significant (β = -0.040; p = 0.494). This indicates that workload affects food quality indirectly through limited time availability. The findings emphasize that time management is a key factor in maintaining a healthy family lifestyle, especially among working mothers facing dual roles. Partner support and workplace flexibility play essential roles in helping mothers balance domestic and professional responsibilities effectively
Yulian Sri Lestari

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3509

To examine in depth how ABH navigate difficult situations during the legal process for their cases, the author conducted in-depth interviews with ABH in their respective locations to understand the stages of resilience and insecurity they experienced during the legal process. Four children under 18 years old were charged with theft and assault. The case was resolved using a restorative justice approach through police diversion. Verbal statements from the children were recorded and organized into themes, then categories were created to form the basis for developing a conceptual framework for the stages of resilience. Four stages were found in the development of ABH resilience: stress, deteriorating, adapting and recovering, and strengthening. The stress stage occurs during the process of being arrested for a crime. ABH at this stage feels very stressed because the legal impacts that occur are never previously thought of. The deteriorating stage is where ABH due to the stressful situation experiences a psychological decline, does not know what to do, and feels helpless. The adapting and recovering stage is the stage where ABH begins to develop adaptive behaviors to the existing situation and recover from the psychological conditions experienced previously. In the strengthening stage, ABH has begun to demonstrate success in adapting to the situation and developing positive behaviors. The success of this stage is influenced by the strength of protective factors during the legal process.
Nailatin FauziyahMaulana Galileo Budi Cendekia

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3513

A husband's infidelity can precipitate significant psychological repercussions for the wife. These repercussions often manifest as anger, sadness, disappointment, feelings of worthlessness, betrayal, and hatred. Additionally, wives subjected to their husband's infidelity may exhibit symptoms of depression, stress, and anxiety disorders. Despite extensive research on the psychological dynamics of wives affected by infidelity, findings have been varied. Therefore, this article aims to synthesise and critically analyse existing research to provide a comprehensive understanding and inspire future studies. Employing a scoping review method, literature selection was guided by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework. The data were drawn from the literature on Google Scholar, covering publications from the last decade (2014-2024). Furthermore, the inclusion criteria included: empirical research, full-text available, wives as the research participants, and the result/discussion sections focus on psychological dynamics as the victims of the husband’s infidelity. While literature research, books/e-books, book chapters, unaccessible full-texts, final assignment repositories, and working papers were excluded from the criteria. The screening resulted in the identification of 30 relevant articles. The analysis revealed several core themes: the psychological impact of infidelity, the decision-making processes of wives post-infidelity, resilience among wives experiencing infidelity, strategies for emotional recovery, and the role of forgiveness towards unfaithful husbands. These themes will be further explored in the discussion section.
Abdul Haris Fitri AntoAdlin Malikah HanunFitria Tahta AlfinaMuhammad Farid NovianPoetri Lailatuz Zuhroh

Mental disorders are currently a major problem in various parts of the world. People with mental disorders often receive negative stigma from the surrounding community regarding the mental disorders they experience. This stigma will have an impact on the quality of life of people who have mental disorders. However, in order for their quality of life to continue to improve, people with mental disorders not only need medical treatment from the hospital, but also need support from their families. This research aims to explore further the effectiveness of family support in improving the quality of life of people with mental disorders through a literature review method. This method was carried out by searching for literature from Google Schooler and ResearchGare and obtained 5 suitable journals. The results of this research show that the quality of life of people with mental disorders is influenced by the family support provided, so that family support can be said to be effective in improving the quality of life of ODGJ.
Rahma Tri AristawidyaMoh. https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3521

Subjective Well-Being is a scientific term that refers to happiness, which includes individuals’ affective and cognitive evaluations of their lives. This study aims to analyze Subjective Well-Being among women who engage in early marriage. Using a qualitative approach and a case study design, the research involved two participants who married under the age of 18. The results of the interviews indicate that different marriage experiences, in terms of both reasons for marriage and social support, influence their levels of Subjective Well-Being. Participants who married for love experienced higher levels of Subjective Well-Being compared to those who married through arranged marriages. Although both participants felt happiness during childbirth, they also faced emotional challenges and difficult situations that negatively impacted their well-being. These findings highlight the importance of social support and emotional stability in enhancing the Subjective Well-Being of women who marry at an early age.
Erfina ShakilaLufiana Harnany Utami

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3522

This study aims to explore what life is like for a mother raising a child with autism. A mother’s quality of life in this situation is shaped by four main aspects: physical health, psychological well-being, social relationships, and the environment. The research used a qualitative case study design with one participant—a mother of a 4.5-year-old child with autism. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and direct observation. The results show that the mother experienced many challenges in these aspects, such as feeling physically exhausted from lack of sleep, emotional stress, and financial struggles in paying for her child’s therapy. On the other hand, family support, acceptance of the child’s condition, and a supportive environment—like access to good special school facilities—helped her improve her quality of life. This study is expected to give useful insights for strengthening support systems for mothers raising children with autism so that their lives can become healthier and more balanced.
Alvina RachmaLufiana Harnany Utami

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3523

This study aims to describe emotion regulation among leaders of the Indonesian Women with Disabilities Association (HWDI) with physical impairments. The background of this research lies in the emotional challenges often faced by leaders with disabilities in carrying out leadership roles, where emotion regulation plays a crucial role in maintaining psychological well-being and organizational effectiveness. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological design was employed, involving three respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a semi-structured interview guide focusing on two dimensions of emotion regulation: cognitive reappraisal and expressive suppression. The results indicate that cognitive reappraisal was applied through strategies such as viewing situations positively, recalling pleasant experiences, planning flexible steps, and adopting others’ perspectives, while expressive suppression was performed by controlling facial expressions, regulating breathing rhythm, practicing brief meditation, listening to music, diverting attention, and seeking a comfortable environment. These findings suggest that cognitive reappraisal is more adaptive in reducing stress and enhancing social relationships, whereas expressive suppression is useful in maintaining self-image but may cause internal pressure.
Sholahuddin Yusuf Al MauludiM Fahmi Aufar AsyrafM Fahmi Aufar Asyraf

https://proceedings.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/ICOSHPRO/article/view/3530

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers worldwide and a major cause of mortality among women, significantly impacting their physical, psychological, and social well-being. Understanding how individuals find meaning in life is crucial to support their mental health and recovery process. This study aims to explore the lived experiences of breast cancer patients in constructing and understanding the meaning of life after diagnosis and treatment. Using a qualitative design with a phenomenological approach, three participants were selected through purposive sampling based on specific inclusion criteria. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analysed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) to identify emerging themes. The analysis revealed four main themes: self-acceptance, reflecting the process of accepting personal limitations and circumstances; life motivation, highlighting inner strength driven by family and spiritual values; support group, emphasizing the role of psychological and social support from communities and peers; and positive body image, showing how participants cope with changes in physical appearance and societal perceptions. These findings indicate that the meaning of life plays a central role in enhancing psychological resilience and improving quality of life among breast cancer patients. This study suggests that holistic interventions focusing on psychological, social, and spiritual aspects are essential to help individuals cope with the challenges of breast cancer and foster a sense of purpose and well-being.
M.
