Abstract

This research aims to analyze the form of representative speech acts of Habib Ja'far and Onad. on the podcast "Are you sure your prayers are heard by God?" by using Searle's theory in pragmatic studies. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method by presenting research data in the form of descriptions. Researchers carry out data analysis in various nuances according to its original form with information on the context of the speech. The data source in this research is a video on Deddy Corbuzier's YouTube channel. Meanwhile, data collection techniques involve listening, taking notes, transcribing, identifying and classifying forms of speech that contain representative speech. Based on the results of this research, it was found that several utterances contained representative speech acts such as speech forms that functioned (1) stating, (2) demanding, (3) admitting, (4) reporting, (5) showing, (6) mentioning, (7) ) provide, (8) testify and (9) speculate.
