Reinterpretasi Sejarah Islam di Era Digital
Abstract
Abstract: The development of digital technology has influenced various scientific disciplines, including the study of Islamic history. The digital era opens wider access to historical sources through the digitization of manuscripts, documents and historical works, as well as enabling the dissemination of Islamic historical narratives through various digital platforms. This research, entitled Reinterpretation of Islamic History in the Digital Era, has two problem formulations, namely how to conceptualize the digital era and modernization. How digital technology influences the interpretation of Islamic historical studies and the dissemination of historical narratives. What is the role of the academic community in maintaining the validity of Islamic history studies in the digital era. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with literature and literature studies to explore the impact of digitalization on changes in historical perspectives. The research results show that digital technology offers opportunities for more inclusive history learning, but still presents challenges in maintaining the validity and authority of historical sources. Therefore, good digital literacy and supervision of the academic community is needed so that the reinterpretation of Islamic history in the digital era remains rooted in facts and the authenticity of the sources.
