Konsep Pendidikan Karakter Islami dalam Kitab Adabul ‘Alim wal Muta‘allim Karya KH Hasyim Asy‘ari dan Relevansinya di Masa Kini

Abstract

This study aims to explore the existence of Islamic character education in KH Hasyim Asy'ari whose teachings are contained in his book Adabul "Alim wal Muta'allim, and investigate how these teaching techniques can be applied in the context of education. He, who is a cleric and founder of Nahdlatul Ulama, considers education as the main way to help people become intelligent, have good morals, and behave politely. moral responsibility, and the relationship between knowledge and action. The findings of this study show that the concept of Islamic character education according to KH Hasyim Asy'ari focuses on the formation of good morals through exemplifying, sincerity, and respect for knowledge. Values ​​such as discipline, humility, responsibility, and honesty are an important part in building students' character from him can be an important basis for developing an Islamic character education system in modern schools.
