Abstract
This research aims to reveal how self-esteem can be interpreted in the song Bejeweled by Taylor Swift using Coopersmith's (1967) theory of self-esteem. The analysis was conducted by employing a qualitative descriptive method and was collected by close reading and analyzing the content of the collected data. This study highlights the issue of how a person can realize their self-esteem after a long journey and struggle to free themselves from dark times. After analyzing the data, the researcher found that self-esteem is something that can be rebuilt, even after a painful experience. Individuals are considered to have high self-esteem when they can recognize their value. This recognition empowers them to take control of themselves, shaping their own happiness without relying on other’s expectations. This study provides significance to readers, inspiring anyone who wants to learn about self-esteem, especially in building self-confidence and achieving their full potential.
