Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a TNR 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Please indicate your selected sub-theme by entering one of the six BEST ICON 2026 sub-themes in the "Subject" field.

Author Guidelines

Paper Submission Guidelines - BEST ICON 

1. Scope of the Paper
The topic of the paper must be relevant to the scope and sub-theme of the conference.

2. Originality and Previous Publication
The submitted paper must present original work, such as a research article, case report, or literature review. The paper must not have been previously published or presented at another conference, meeting, or similar academic event.

3. Publication Ethics and Plagiarism
Authors are required to adhere to academic and publication ethics. Plagiarism and any other form of academic misconduct are strictly prohibited. If plagiarism is identified in a submitted paper, the paper will be rejected or withdrawn from the review and publication process.

4. Language and File Format
The paper must be written in English (US) using Times New Roman font and B5 paper size (17,6 × 25 cm). The manuscript must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.

5. Abstract
The abstract must not exceed 250 words, excluding the abstract title, authors’ names, and institutional affiliations.

6. Authors and Affiliations
The paper must include the full names of all authors. Each author must be identified using a superscript Arabic numeral (e.g., ¹, ²) corresponding to their institutional affiliation. The institutional affiliation and email address of the corresponding author must also be provided. If the authors are affiliated with different institutions, each author’s affiliation must be clearly indicated.

7. Paper Length
The manuscript must be a minimum of 6 pages and a maximum of 10 pages, excluding the reference list.

8. Recommended Paper Structure
The paper should generally follow the structure appropriate to its type. Authors may adjust the structure according to the nature and requirements of their manuscript.

  • Research Article: Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, References, and Acknowledgments (if applicable).
  • Case Report: Introduction, Implementation Procedure/Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments (if applicable), and References.
  • Literature Review: Introduction, Literature Review, Discussion, Conclusion, References, and Acknowledgments (if applicable). 

9. Figures and Image Quality
All figures must have sufficient resolution for high-quality printing. A minimum resolution of 300 dpi is recommended.

10. References and Reference Management
Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software, such as Zotero or Mendeley, to ensure the consistency and accuracy of in-text citations and the reference list.

11. Author Information
The full names, academic credentials (if applicable), institutional affiliations, and email addresses of the corresponding author and all co-authors must be provided. If co-authors are affiliated with different institutions, all relevant affiliations must be clearly indicated for each author.

12. Proofreading and Language Quality
Authors are required to carefully proofread their abstracts and manuscripts before submission to eliminate spelling, grammatical, and typographical errors. Authors are encouraged to use a professional English proofreading or editing service to ensure the quality and clarity of the manuscript before submission.
