Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the Proceedings of International Conference on Islamic Counseling Studies (ICONICS) undergo a double-blind peer review process. This means that both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous throughout the review process to ensure objectivity and impartiality.
The peer review process is conducted as follows:

Initial Screening
Each submitted manuscript is initially screened by the editor-in-chief or editorial team to ensure it meets the basic submission requirements, scope, and ethical standards of ICONICS. -
Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. -
Review Process
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, theoretical framework, methodology, clarity, and contribution to the field of Islamic counseling. They may recommend one of the following decisions:-
Accepted without revisions

Accepted with minor revisions

Revisions required (major)

Rejected

Author Notification and Revision
Authors receive feedback and are asked to revise the manuscript according to the reviewers’ comments. The revised version may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers if necessary. -
Final Decision
The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection is made by the editor-in-chief, based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the quality of the final manuscript. -
Publication
Accepted articles are edited and formatted before being published online in the upcoming issue of ICONICS.
